Former Czars frontman John Grant made an album with Midlake as his house band and oh my, the resolution is something so breathtakingly honest and strikingly beautiful that these gems are rarely found. It feels also somewhat a natural follow up to Midlake's "Trials of Van Occupanther" for those who found their newest "Courage of Others" too rootsy and glomy.
